In the Dusun language of Sabah, atarom carries the meaning of navigating or steering — guiding something through its course with purpose and skill. It is a word deeply rooted in the indigenous heritage of Sabah's Dusun community, reflecting a tradition of leadership, direction, and steady hands.
Our Identity, Rooted in Sabah
We chose this name deliberately. As a 100% Bumiputra Sabah-owned maritime company, our identity is inseparable from the land and people of Sabah. Just as a skilled helmsman steers a vessel safely through open waters, Atarom Services is committed to navigating our clients' maritime needs — with precision, reliability, and pride in our Sabahan roots.

Atarom Services Sdn. Bhd. was incorporated in 2024 under the Companies Act 2016 (Registration No. 202401036108 / 1581955-U), established with a clear purpose — to deliver professional, reliable, and safety-driven maritime services to clients across Malaysia.
From our foundation, we have focused on building a capable team and operational framework that meets the demands of the maritime industry. Our primary engagement is with Avangaad Berhad, for whom we manage a fleet of 5 tugboat vessels and their full crew complement.
As a growing company, we are actively expanding our client base and service offerings — positioning Atarom Services as a trusted long-term partner for government agencies, corporate entities, and maritime operators throughout the region.
